This weekend and through Wed of next week, San Francisco will be the center of attention for the world of golf.

The Cadillac World Match Play Championship is being played at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco with unique pool play happening through Friday then match play Saturday and Sunday to determine the champion. Friday night there will be playoffs to determine the last players to the weekend.

Starting Saturday the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball championship will be held at The Olympic Club on the border of San Francisco and Daly City, just a mile from TPC-Harding Park. This inagural championship will see 128 sides of two players qualify over 36 holes of medal play with 32 sides playing match play Mon through Wed May 4-6. Admission is free.

This will complete a unique stretch of events that started the week prior with the LPGA Swinging Skirts at Lake Merced in Daly City, then to San Francisco and wrapping up at The Olympic Club that is split by the county line, in fact if players on the 16th hole on the Lake Golf Course at Olympic Club hit a good tee shot, they started in San Francisco, but hit it into San Mateo County.

Great time for golf in San Francisco, enjoy it.

Catch our radio program, 7-8 and 9-10 Saturday live from TPC-Harding Park Saturday May 2.
